Steph Neary is a self-taught artist based in Pittsburgh, PA, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces using vintage and salvaged materials. Since settling in Pittsburgh in 2006, sheβs developed a distinctive style that blurs the boundaries between art and craftβ with a nod to folklore, childβs play, underground comix, and heirloom-inspired designs with humor and surrealism. Rooted in a punk and DIY ethos, her art focuses on capturing whatβs real and raw, strange and tenderβ reminiscent of relics from a forgotten world.
Currently, she serves as the manager of VaultArt Studio, a progressive art space in Pittsburghβs Garfield neighborhood which supports and promotes the inclusion of artists with disabilities in contemporary art.
